My mothers name is Evalyn Gross and she was born in 1922 so she would have graduated around 1939 or 1940. She grew up on Hobert Street. She is still alive and lives in Martinsburg, WV. Would anybody remember her or would like to make contact?
I too lived on Hobart Street in Welch at the time your mom did. She lived up further on the street than I. I lived right in the dip across from where Greer's Grocery Store was. Your mom might remember the Tabors, Malonies, Propst, Lawsons, and others. We went to Welch Schools at the same time. She is two years older than I but I remember her very well when we were kids. It is great to hear from someone from so long ago. I do hope she is getting along well.
