Death of Anita Gravley Cole mother

Etta Marie Gravely, 82, of Manor Care Nursing Facility, North Olmsted, OH, formerly of Roanoke, VA. and Welch, WV, departed this world on October 11, 2010, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Born April 28, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Cora Church. Ms. Gravely was raised in McDowell County, WV and worked for the Kroger Company for 34 years at their stores in Northfork, Welch, Bluefield and Princeton.

She was preceded in death by sisters Margaret Johnson and Myrtle Snow, and brothers Fred Church, Howard Church, Homer Church, and Ivan Church.

Those left to cherish her memory include her three children; daughter; Anita Cole and husband Dean Cole of Johnson City, TN, two sons; Charles Blevins and wife Teresa Blevins of Roanoke, VA and James Blevins and wife Virginia ‘Ginny’ Blevins of Strongsville, OH, sister; Mattie Allen of Keystone, WV, grandchildren; Dr. Mary Edwards and husband Dr. Christopher Edwards of Morgantown, WV, Sarah Blevins of Morgantown, WV, Amanda Cole of Johnson City, TN, Sam Cole of Johnson City, TN, and Charles Blevins of Roanoke, VA ; great-grandchildren Elizabeth and Chase Edwards of Morgantown, WV.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Minister Dean Cole officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
