That was also the "hot corner" for hitch hiking to Browns Creek and Hemphill. Thanks, Ed for all your years of dedicated service to the people of Welch!

Ed was always nice to everyone. ABout 2-3 years ago there was an article in the NY Times about Ed's service in WW2, and his brush with death.

Wife talked to him in Oct while she was taking a picture of the mural that includes him in it.

I got him to pose for a picture in front of himself in the mural. I gave him a printed copy.
