Several of my 1961 WHS classmates and probably many others from WHS have been in touch with Richard over the past years, so I am sharing this email I received about him:

My brother had a very bad car wreck Friday of last week. After they cut him out of his SUV, they took him to Bluefield Hospital ER who took one look and sent him on to Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Lots of damage, broken bones, collapsed lung, spinal nerve damage (but still has feeling in his legs). Pray for him, Ginger, his doctors and nurses, and the technical support crew in the labs and rehab and pain clinic, please.
