Robert (Bob) Sigmon

Robert B. Sigmon, 85, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017.

He was born in King, West Virginia, McDowell County, to Mawyer and Lilly Sigmon.

Robert graduated from Welch High School in 1950. He was an assistant manager at Belk Lindsey in Punta Gorda from 1958 to 1960 and was general manager of Hopper-Crews Ford, then Johnnie Crews Ford, and finally a sales representative for Don Gasgarth Charlotte County Ford from 1960 until his retirement. Bob enjoyed his retirement and worked at several of the golf courses in the area at the bag drop and as a Ranger.

He loved spending time with family and friends. Also loved his merlot wine and Manhattans. His pride and joy and faithful companion was his dog, Cody.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Donna K. Sigmon; stepson, Terry Dixon and wife, Stacy; stepson, Randy Dixon and girlfriend, Sherry; two grandsons, Jacob and Joshua Dixon; children from previous marriages, Steven Sigmon, Stephanie Sigmon, Kathleen Sigmon and Jill Burkhart; nieces and nephew, Sandra Saunders, Sue Austin, and Billy Sigmon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mawyer and Lilly Sigmon; and siblings, Arthur and Lynwood Sigmon, and Barbara Jean Atwell.

Services will be private and held at a later date.

Arrangements are by National Cremation Society of Port Charlotte.
