Victor Tataranowicz

I am seeking information about my grandfather, Victor Ray Tataranowicz. He was with the ASTP at Yale University and served with the 78th Division. I have photos of his company training on the East Coast and in England, as well as during his time fighting in Germany that I would very much like to share.

During his service in with the 78th, he received the Bronze Star with Valor. After the war, he lived in Germany and assisted in rebuilding an airfield and other infrastructure. I vividly remember him telling stories of Sergeant Bob Brown during training.

Any information about his company, or the men he regarded as brothers, would be greatly appreciated. He was from Detroit, if that helps.

According to his BSM citation, he was in HQ Co., 3rd Bn, 310th Infantry when he earned the medal. You can download a PDF copy of the 310th history here:
