I'd love to hear more about your plan -- retiring in a few weeks and will have time. I currently run the Columbo fanfic page Just One More Paragraph (http://www.planetpreset.com/colfanfic.html).

My only query is, what would we do differently than Mark Dawidziak in his Columbo Phile or some of the other self-published books on Amazon?

Different from "The Columbo Phile"? It only goes up to 1978. There's another 24 episodes (and 25 years) to cover.

Plus by including reviews by as disparate a collection of fans as possible, hopefully many different aspects of the series' appeal will be highlighted.

There still aren't that many books on "Columbo" - there's plenty of room for not just ONE more. There should be loads of books about the series. I'd buy 'em.
