One of the things I really love about Columbo is the atmospheric music. I was wondering if the music to the show has ever been put on a cd or where I can find it?

Yes, the music was a big part of the show's excellence in the original series. From time to time there were LPs of the music from specific episodes, but no one has released a CD to my knowledge, or released a professional "best of" collection of the music.

That theme from Ransom was also in a couple of other eps as background music. Specifically, when Columbo meets Peter at the bar, where they discuss the coroner's inquizition you hear it softly in the background. Nice. "You sure that's just coffee you're drinking"
