This was a strange formula for me, and it didn't really work to be honest. I've also noticed few references to the film over the years. It did have some rather lovely looking ladies in it and the final scene where Columbo takes apart the false wall in the bathroom to reveal the murdered victim was also very good. Just wondering if anyone else thought the same?

It reminds me of Blueprint For Murder; Columbo will just wander away, & they can get away/commit murder.
Arrogance or stupidity?

A very good point, thanks for reminding me. The format and plot are indeed closely matched. I would say arrogant AND stupid if they thought they could get away with murder and trick Columbo into believing otherwise!
