"Why There's a Columbo Statue in the Middle of Budapest"

Alert fans have pointed this statue out to us before, but this piece looks at the question that has baffled me -- WHY??? There's a video with many nice shots of the statue, including the dog, and some discussion of Columbo's place in TV history.
