Bart Kepple's and other great cars in 70's Columbo

just reading about Bart Kepples car. A big part of the joy of watching Columbos from the 70's is the really long wide cars. You'll only ever see 'em in Columbo or Kojak etc. I went to New York in 2003 and was really sad to see that the cars were now just as boring as what they are in the UK, apart form the odd wrecked Buick etc. parked in a side street that looked like it hadn't moved since 1972!
Talking of cars , great bit in Last flight of the Commodore? Directed by Patrick Mcguan when 4 detectives and suspect Robert Vaughan clamber into Columbo's old wreck and set off. Very much influenced by Laurel and Hardy, Marx Brothers, Three Stooges etc.
