Barneys Beanery

hey all:

Just a little bit of fun information about Barneys. It was actually owned by a guy named Barney. It was founded in 1920.

The location is currently on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood. I visited that location once quite a while ago. Took some pictures. I'm glad Ted put up that post the other day about how to upload photograph because if I can find that photograph I want to put it on here.

I also found out much to my surprise that it was never used to film any Columbo episodes. Now maybe that came up in discussion sometime in the past but it was true it was never used as a filming location in the series

Re: Barneys Beanery

Yeah.
He's eating on a set in the original series.

In pop culture lore, it's famous as a hangout for Jim Morrison and Alice Cooper.
