Okay, in here we're ALL huge fans of the wonderful Columbo show, BUT some shows are better than others, i think you have to agree, so which show is your least favourite and why? was it a disapointing ending? was the writing a bit poorer in a particular show, did the actors (other than PF natuarally!) not quite give their best performance?

Last Salute to the Commodore... this one is painful to watch, it seems it seems Patrick McGoohan's Directing was a bit off, mainly, why the loud yelling scene in the boat yard? why the weird scene with the phone on the boat? the whole mess with columbo at the Clay's house... "is Japan that way"... and the clown car bit with the top down... and the scene on the bridge with the loud background noise... but I usually don't ship this episode because I like to find new weird stuff about it.

The Conspirators... just hate it
there are a few others from the later seasons, I usually watch the first 5 seasons

I'm gonna say "no time to die" is the clear worst for me because it's basically a regular movie, it's not a real columbo, it doesn't have the usual formula, he doesn't talk with the (potential in this case) murderer and so on, I know there's a lot of people who also don't like "undercover", which also uses a different formula, but I like that treasure hunt, so definitely I find it much more interesting as an episode.

I would say "murder in malibu" is the clear worst for me among episodes with the normal columbo formula, it just involves a setting that I don't really like.

I can't narrow it down to just one, but while I have watched all 69 episodes at least twice, and own them all on DVD, I will never again watch:

Murder in Malibu - Terrible acting and I can't stand Wayne Jennings and the sister Jess

No Time to Die - I hate it like everyone else

Last Salute to the Commodore - T'isn't is the clue? You gotta be kidding me

Old Fashioned murder - I find the characters very bland and uninteresting

Bird in the Hand - Not everyone agrees, but I really don't like Tyne Daly.
