Blueprint For Murder comments

1. Kind of stupid thing from Markham to change the radiostation. It would be obvius for anyone I guess to change as less as possible from the victim's habits
2. When Markham is leaving the Beau's car, he leaves with passenger door. Kind of strange :)
3. This music thing. Not excly clear.. When Columbo finds the car on the airport he listens to the music and he does it from a cassette, so that means that Markham set it like this. So he remembered to change music in the car. So who cares then if the radiostation was set on classical music?
4. Always bothers me when Columbo is wiping (is that the correct word?) this board, he never finishes the job. He only wipes the small part of the board :)
5. Columbo asking the heart doctor about lighter to light his cigare always makes me laugh a lot :D
6. Why doesn't Columbo wear a construction helmet as the only one? :P
7. The flat tire thing – I don't like it at all. It's so unbelieavable to me! Markham is obviously so scared and policeman does nothing about it and is not su****ious at all. Too farfetched to me. And what is more – he says he will bring the tow truck and when they will come, they will see the guy is gone, so again a lot su****ious!
8. Actually placing a body in a foundation was not that smart. Even if Markham was not caught by Columbo. Let's assume he succeed and placed the body in (as I understand) a big hole in construction site. They will fill this hole with concrete next morning. So for sure the workers who will do it – they would easily discover a body there, don't you think?

#4: I think "erasing" the board would be more commonly used than "wiping". And it bothers me too that Columbo didn't finish erasing.
#6 and #7: Good points.
#8: Maybe they would just pour the concrete without looking that far down in the hole? Maybe it would be dark enough at the bottom to conceal the body?

Re: Blueprint For Murder comments

and don't forget Elliot's Secretary, the first visit by Columbo, whenever Columbo makes a statement about Elliot or his office, ..."yes, it is" ... how many times in a row does she say, yes, it is?

Re: Blueprint For Murder comments

She says it at least 3 times, maybe even 4, in the italian version it's slightly different: "Sì, tenente" (yes, lieutenant).

Re: Blueprint For Murder comments

Hey Esploratore, do you have dubbing in Italy? or you hear the original voice in the background?

Re: Blueprint For Murder comments

Hey, yes, there's italian dubs for all episodes, which is how I watch them, I don't hear the original voice in the background, columbo himself has been dubbed by 2 actors: one for all episodes until season 9, then another one following the former actor's death, they had such a similar voice that I didn't even know they were 2 actors till now.

The only exception was ransom for a dead man, which was with a different actor, much different voice that episode.

And you, do you watch it in the original language?
