Some people don't like this episode, it's one of my favorites, mainly because of Roddy and the aerial tram... Anyhoo, I just noticed, when Columbo is at the house, when he first meets Roger, Roger explains where they were driving to, "Pine Wild"... Columbo says Pine? ... Wild says Roger, Columbo says he never heard of it.
Now, later Aunt Doris says he could have gotten in an accident, that road is so dangerous(or something to that effect) and Columbo says I talked to the local authorities, they didn't find any accidents... Now, Columbo didn't even know where they were going, how could he have talked to local authorities? and again, after listening to the recording, Roger says Go out there and find my uncle, Columbo says I've got the wheels rolling but this Pine Wild is out of our jurisdiction, again he never heard of Pine Wild but now sounds like an authority...
Ah Ha!, just noticed, in this episode when the three of them (Columbo, Roger and Everett) are arriving at the Tram at the end, Columbo has the Top down. Just like in the strange scene in Last Salute to the Commodore. My point is, later in the series Columbo says "you know, I've never had the top down"... anyone know what episode that was?

There's one thing it took me forever to realize. Out of all those schemes of his, Roger must have enjo*** framing Quincy as a blackmailer in a special way. After all, Quincy was helping to blackmail HIM. So to Roger, that must have really felt like justice.
