Double Shock?

when Columbo is helping Dexter cook on the TV show, ever notice they put about 8 egg yolks in the blender instead of just 4? (Dexter put in the first one then Columbo put in at least 6 or 7 more)

Also, no self respecting chef would just pour the hot butter into the blender like Dexter did (supposed to drizzle it in slowly as it's mixing so you don't end up with scrambled eggs...) Silly me what a thing to notice huh?

Re: Double Shock?

I'm not a cook to speak of, so I've never noticed those things. That's very interesting.

Re: Double Shock?

I noticed that I though maybe they took a number of takes but I don't fancy eating it with 7 eggs!
I love when you see the old TV going off colour when the power goes out. Our TV did that in the 70's you used to just hit it and it was fixed! oh how far we have come

Re: Double Shock?

I doubt there are many people here who haven't seen it, but for them this is a SPOILER.

Everyone knows that Dexter and Norman plan the murder itself together, but when it comes to something else, I wonder how much they cooperate.

I mean all those accusations they make against each other to Columbo to confuse him. Especially the casino scene. Norman looks genuinely surprised to see Dexter and Columbo there, so I wonder whether they planned THAT together or Dexter came up with it on his own.

Obviously neither one wants Columbo to arrest the other - because then HE'D be caught - but it's easy to think that each one enjoys TEARING DOWN the other to Columbo, along with confusing him. And again, maybe it's something they don't plan together in detail.
Again, one reason I wonder about that is how convincing it is in the casino scene when Dexter smiles and waves at Norman, and Norman glares at him. Maybe it's all just "part of the act," but who knows.
