This is bad. It is to bad this was the last Columbo. The murderer was not interesting at all. I only hated 3 “Columbo” films. The other two were “Murder With Too Many Notes “ and “ No Time to Die “.

Yes, I would say all 3 were among the worst, imo no time to die is the worst of all cause it's basically not a columbo, more like a suspense movie.

Falk wanted to make another episode, so he would hit 70, I think it was 4 years later than nightlife or something, but they didn't let him.

pretty much all season 8-9-10 are crappy except I do like Murder Smoke and Shadows (8:2) and Columbo Goes to College (10:1)

Totally disagree. "Columbo Likes the Nightlife" was a terrific final show and one of the best of the latter episodes. Good script, some solid detective work, a unique "gotcha" and a very solid cast. The common silliness that went on in the latter episodes (Columbo talking to plants, playing the tuba, etc.) was missing, which helped to keep this one focused on being good TV and resulted in a Columbo we rarely saw after 1978.
