Murder With Too Many Notes - ever shown in the UK?

I keep a close eye out for Columbo being shown on UK tv. In recent times it's Channel 5 and Sky Movies who have shown Columbo episodes, but I've never seen any UK channel show Murder With Too Many Notes.

That's strange, given that the guest star (Billy Connolly) is a very well known British comedian. Has anyone seen it on a UK channel?

For some reason Channel 5 and Sky seem to show the same episodes over and over again.

Re: Murder With Too Many Notes - ever shown in the UK?

In another thread WD (i think) said that sky showed it years ago. It hasnt been shown for ages tho. Its all about who owns the rights to show it. I think ITV have the rights for ashes to ashes as they screened it about 18 months ago. Its all very confusing. Now hallmark are showing columbo at the weekends tho they are the original episodes (70's).

Five have certainly screened all the original episodes and between them, sky and itv all the 90's episodes except MWTMN have been shown at one time or another in the last 2 1/2 years.

All i can suggest is wait. One day it will be shown, hopefully not when im 76 tho its the only one i havent seen.
God bless,

Matthew

It's odd, since Columbo Likes The Nightlife - the most recent Columbo episode - has been shown a few times recently (and will be on ITV3 shortly). With any luck, they'll show MWTMN as well.

Thanks for the tip about the airing of Columbo likes the nightlife. I've not seen this episode, truly dreading watching it - Columbo investigates the rave scene, puh-lease. I sometimes feel that the producers owe us hardcore devotees something for putting up with under-par episodes.

Yep, Murder With Too Many Notes has been on. I can remember watching it. Must have been about 3 or 4 years ago. It was on 1 of the movie channels on Sky. I check the tv listings every week and as soon as I see it I'll post it here so everyone knows.
In the meantime, if theres an episode someone is interested in seeing, post it here and i'll check to see if its due to be aired in the UK anytime soon.

Re: Murder With Too Many Notes - ever shown in the UK?

Havent seen Etude.... in ages so thanks for the warning.

Not going to get involed in arguements but why do you write the date that way. Wonder what way came first?

Re: Murder With Too Many Notes - ever shown in the UK?

It was mere jocularity and joking...no arguing.

And I believe the UK way is really the right way...and the original way of writing the date.

Re: Murder With Too Many Notes - ever shown in the UK?

I wasnt being serious about the arguement thing.

God bless,

Matthew
