I find it very difficult anymore to watch a movie without picking out actors who have appeared on Columbo. I was watching the end of the Mel Brooks movie To Be Or Not To Be and there was Jose(Mind Over Mayhem)Ferrer, and George Gaynes who was in Any Old Port, the Frenchman who teaches Columbo about wines, and also George Wyner, who was the film editor in Double Exposure who teaches Columbo about subliminal cuts.
And right now there is a movie on from 1949, Johnny Allegro, which co-stars a very young and very pretty Nina Foch (Prescription: Murder)
It has almost become a game to be able to pick out all these people...and I love it when there are more than one. (get a life cassa!! )
I like how there's a lot of "Planet of the Apes" film series people in Columbo: Kim Hunter, Roddy McDowall, Maurice Evans, Ricardo Montalban, Bradford Dillman, Sal Mineo, Lou Wagner, William Windom and maybe some others.
Hey Steinmetz/Mark, thanks for calling me by my full "name"...and also spelling it correctly! ....but in the future feel free to just type cassa....typing cassavetes45 everytime is going to wear out your fingers!!
Ok Mark...I mean Steinmetz...I mean Mark...I mean.....oh forget it!!!!
Steinmetz is not a hard one to type...now that I figured out that the "e" comes before the "i"!
I am watching a movie right now entitled The Loved One...about a guy who has to plan his uncle's funeral..Robert Morse stars.....but what do you know? there is Anjanette Comer...Jenifer Welles from Etude...and Roddy McDowall..Short Fuse....and Rod Steiger....Strange Bedfellows.
I have never seen this movie before...it is a bit bizarre...
