This Old... Frog?

I came across this and thought my fellow Columbo-ites might enjoy it. Can you spot the "Columbo" connection?
__________

A frog goes into a bank and approaches the teller. He can see from her nameplate that her name is Patricia Whack.

"Miss Whack, I'd like to get a $30,000 loan to take a holiday."

Patty looks at the frog in disbelief and asks his name. The frog says his name is Kermit Jagger, his dad is Mick Jagger, and that it's okay, he knows the bank manager.

Patty explains that he will need to secure the loan with some collateral.

The frog says, "Sure. I have this," and produces a tiny porcelain elephant, about an inch tall, bright pink and perfectly formed.

Very confused, Patty explains that she'll have to consult with the bank manager and disappears into a back office.

She finds the manager and says, "There's a frog called Kermit Jagger out there who claims to know you and wants to borrow $30,000, and he wants to use this as collateral."

She holds up the tiny pink elephant. "I mean, what in the world is this?"

The bank manager looks back at her and says...

"It's a knickknack, Patty Whack. Give the frog a loan. His old man's a Rolling Stone."

__________

Of course, it's a take on Columbo's favorite song to whistle, "This Old Man".

Did you enjoy that? I did!

Re: This Old... Frog?

Mr. Headache!! I did this one about a month ago!! Why don't you read my posts?? I always read yours. But I guess that is because I want to become your prodigy!!
I loved this when I saw it on another forum and I posted it here. I don't think anyone responded, but that is ok. Heck! I just responded to you though!! I thought it was a cool joke. Simple, yet cute, and thankfully not dirty. The people on here will respond to you though, because you are Headache.....I am only a lowly cassa. (all said in fun, guy! )

Re: This Old... Frog?

Cassa, you've made me feel so bad, and oh so very sad. I don't know how I could have missed your post but I obviously did. I would have found it hysterical, as I did when I saw the joke elsewhere. That's why I posted it here. I always read your posts. They usually bring a smile to my heart. Alas, not the above.

My feelings are low in the depths of despair. My lifeblood... spills over...

Anywho, sorry!

Re: This Old... Frog?

Chin up my friend!! I want to see a smile on your face!! And clean up that lifeblood spilling all over the place!! That is disgusting!!!

(no problemo, amigo )

Re: This Old... Frog?

Posted this little ditty before cass, and before Headache. Boy you people are snobbish. If you don't recognize a name, you don't respond.

Re: This Old... Frog?

Sorry coolsig.....I don't remember. How long ago was it?
And as far as not responding, well, look at my posts here! I sadly respond to everything and everyone!
Sorry again.

Re: Re: This Old... Frog?

I've sent this great pun to several friends and told it to others. The quality of a pun is measured by the length of the ooooooouch of its victim. Good stuff that one.
