Columbo: Playback

This is probably one of the most overlooked "Columbo" films. This one has humor in it which I liked. I liked the scene where "Columbo" is looking at the ventalator and mistakes it for a piece of art. That was a very entertaining scene. This "Columbo" , Playback was very good , I liked how the murder was taking place. This is one of the best "Columbo" films ever in my opinion. I wish the "Columbo" producers would make em like this, just a flat out excellent "Columbo" film. Peter Falk has some films in the can they are

1.The Book of Joe
2.Retirement
3.3 Days of Rain
4.Checking Out

I hope I will get to see these one day. "The Thing About My Folks" , Peter Falk's latest movie still has not arrived in Seattle. That is not a good sign for this film. I will probably have to see it on DVD when it comes out. Thanks everybody for reading. I will sign out for now.

Re: Columbo: Playback

Easy Trivia:

In what other Columbo:

-did the killer use an art gallery showing for his alibi?

-did the killer use and tamper with his own security cameras to establish he was not at the scene of the crime, but this then added to proof he might be the killer?

Re: Re: Columbo: Playback

"Suitable For Framing" and "Caution: Murder Can Be Hazardous to Your Health"

Re: Re: Re: Columbo: Playback

You got it!

Re: Columbo Episodes

We need more Colombo as soon as possible. I keep watching the old episodes over and over again. Its time Peter Falk starts producing new episodes and maybe new actor should take over the job and try to do the great job Peter Falk has done. There is nothing on TV that comes even close to it. Monk is a closest imitation , very poorly done.
COLOMBO IS THE BEST , is anyone out there listening on ABC, NBC OR CBS ??????

Re: Re: Columbo Episodes

In my opinion when Peter decides that Columbo is to stop then hopefully thats how it will be and there wont be a new actor trying to play the part or some spin-off with Columbo giving instructions over the phone or something equally daft. At that point let it rest.

God bless,

Matthew

Re: Re: Re: Columbo Episodes

That would be very sad. Hope Columbo goes on. I am sure another actor could pick up where Peter left off. Just like James Bond

Re: Columbo: Playback

Victoria,

Sorry to hear that "The Thing About My Folks" hasn't shown up in the Seattle area. It was here at theatres in the Chicago area, but it blew through so fast, I missed it. Near where I live is one of those huge, gigantic theatres with 30 screens. "Folks" was only on one screen for only 2 weeks, and I didn't catch it. I guess they needed that screen, along with three others for that mega-hit, "Doom". Meanwhile, "Wedding Crashers" which came out during the summer is still there!
