Re: Columbo Dance Track

I didn't think it was boring, Andy. I thought it was cool!
Sorry I can't help you with getting any audio clips....I am a moron when it comes to computers!
But good luck with it, I hope you continue with it.
(um....I see from your email address that you are a bass player? Is that bass guitar?)

Re: Re: Columbo Dance Track

lol cheers! I also made a frank butcher (eastenders) club track... but only got half way through that... some of the stuff i sampled him saying is actually gr8... The link 2 that is...

Again, dnt ask y! I just hav alot of spare time on my hands ...

Anyway yup, its bass guitar.

Re: Columbo Dance Track

I just checked that one out....Terrific! I loved the music....and also the sound bytes. Excellent job.
I have to be honest, I had to check out what Eastenders was....I'm a chick from the States, and we don't get that show here.
Also, I want to thank you for something that you may find a bit bizarre. When I checked out the 2 thingys, it was the first time I cut and pasted all by myself...so that really made me happy!!!! Thanks!!
And lastly, the reason I asked if you played the bass guitar is because my son plays it too. He also plays the trumpet and a bunch of other instruments...but his favourites are the bass and trumpet.
Good luck with your Columbo Dance Track...I would love to hear the finished product when it is done.

Re: Columbo Dance Track

The Columbo track is pretty cool Andy, I hope you can finish it. As far as samples go there are some on this site in the sounds section, and theres also a few at wavlist.com. I'm afraid thats all the help I can provide.

Re: Columbo Dance Track

Cool!
Made my toes tap

Re: Columbo Dance Track

Hi Andy, I'd be happy to help with any sound files your after. Only problem is I don't really have time to sit down through all my columbo eps and listen for something that would be suitable. What I can do though is specific requests. Just tell me the episode, the line your after and roughly how long into the episode its said and i'd be happy to rip it for you. I have all the original 45 eps on DVD.

If anyone out there can think of lines andy can use post em here

Welshie, I've said it before and I'll say it again.........What A Guy!!
............oh, and you wouldn't happen to have a picture of those dvd's, would ya??

Re: Columbo Dance Track

Why yes Cass I do. How did you know?

Re: Columbo Dance Track

Good fun, Andy! -- very well done. Thanks for sharing it here.

Reminds me of something I've only heard about, from a thoughtful fan, Joe Blevins, who emailed me the lyrics. It's a Columbo rap-song performed by Bill Dana (who is best known as Jose Jimenez, but who does other impressions too).

Even though I've never heard the music, the lyrics make the sound easy to imagine.

COLUMBO: Excuse me. Am I bothering you?
My name is Lt. Columbo, LAPD.
Excuse me.
My name is Lt. Columbo, LAPD, LAPD.
Am I bothering you?
Excuse me.
I'm worried that I'm bothering you.
E-e-e-e-e-e-excuse me.
Am I bothering you?
Excuse me.
Oh! Oh! Oh!
Oh, I'm sorry.
Oh, I love that.
No, I'm not suspicious.
Oh! Oh! Oh!
What makes you think I'm suspicious?
Oh, I love that!
No, I'm not suspicious.
What makes you think,
What makes you think,
What makes you think I'm suspicious?
Is this thing over?
It is?
Oh, I'm sorry.

[music stops]

COLUMBO: One more thing.

[music starts again]
