A goof

I dont think it has been pointed out but in "Murder by the Book" I swear that I hear the same police dispatcher speak the same words when the police cars are at Jack Cassidy's home discovering Ferris' body and at the lake fishing out Lily.

Give it a listen.

Re: A goof

I just viewed it a few days ago and I
also caught it! Very perceptive! The dispatcher rolls off some numbers and letters and I remembered them being the
same.

Re: A goof

That is true. Absolutely true. We hear some of the same words again in "Last Salute to the Commodore." Nice pick-up on that one, proves you are a Columbo fanitic (just like the rest of us)

Re: Re: A goof

It seems to me that in at least two Columbo episodes the dispatcher says "five eleven, a hundred and ninety pounds." Perhaps previously recorded.
