My own email, I admit, did mention that I was Ted Kerin from (shameless plug!) the Ultimate Columbo Site -- but that was mainly because Mark has been kind enough to correspond with me and with Stephen over the years, and I greatly value his emails, so I was just identifying myself to him.
But I wasn't surprised when the site wasn't mentioned on the show -- there's some kind of sensitivity about that in the broadcast media, I have found (even, I guess, for a strictly no-profit, non-commercial site like this one). When I was on "The View," I was given strict pre-show instructions to NOT mention the web site on the air -- which was never my intention anyway, but the point is, they have a "thing" about it.
However, I thought it was clever on Mark Dawidziak's part, and not necessarily a coincidence, when if I'm not mistaken, he referred to my question as the "Ultimate Columbo" question.
One of my questions was in regards to the website. Interesting that The View made it clear not to mention the website. You wouldn't think that they would be so frightened to mention another "media".
Cass,
I've hosted and been a reporter on motorsports radio talk shows for over sixteen years. Everytime I hear my own voice on the radio I think I sound ridiculous (my voice, not the content, LOL). But when I hear the other reporters their voices sound normal to me. I try very hard to hide my Pittsburgh accent, but it comes through big time.
Isn't it amazing, TFL? That is not the voice I hear when I speak. It is totally different. What the heck is that all about?!?
And boy!! How cool are you????!! Hosting a radio program...Very cool indeed! It must be a blast! And motorsports, no less, great fun!!
