Tons of great info on this site -- I think any surfer-come-lately fan like myself would agree its owners have done an excellent job, but frankly, I was rather surprised to discover a "Find Tapes" section browsing through it tonight.

I mean, no offense guys, but the information there is no longer valid and we're already facing the fifth season release on DVD! Oh well, it doesn't seem to matter since the Fan Forum appears to be the central focus of the site anyway.

Interestingly enough though, I have eight of the original eps from the Columbia House library, and two from the A&E MCA collection. They're all pushing ten years old now and get as much use today, because they're beautiful prints, and in many ways rival the DVD versions (like in fidelity).

Another advantage of the tapes is that I can go to sleep by one, whereas DVD players (still) don't come with an auto-off feature, but that's another another mystery I intend to ask Mrs. Columbo to look into the next time her hubby is out of town!

I forgot, myself, that we had a "find tapes" link -- it's from the "legacy" part of the site, before I was even aboard.

I'll take a fresh look at the FAQ, which also deals with that issue, and try to catch webmaster Steve at a good time to update it.
