Re: One Quickie

Hmmmm....give me a minute on this. Yellowstone?? You lucky so and so, that's my favorite place on earth.

Re: One Quickie

Hey, did you know that Yellowstone is home to 60% of the world's geysers? There is no place else in the world where one can see hundreds of spouting and steaming vents spraying in every direction!

And although one of the world's most famous geyers, Old Faithful, is in Yellowstone, there are many other noteworthy geysers and geothermal features to check out while you're in Yellowstone.

Every year, 200-250 geysers erupt in Yellowstone National park. In all there are some 10,000 hot springs.

Old Faithful is the most famous geyser in America, and some people even call it the most famous in the world. It was discovered in 1870 by the Washburn Expedition whose members stumbled upon the geyser during eruption. Due to geysers frequent eruptions,
Washburn Expediton members named it "Old Faithful." In fact, Old Faithful geyser has erupted more than a million times since Yellowstone became the world's first national park in 1872.

Old Faithful shoots water well over 110 feet in the air and erupts every 75-90 minutes. Don't miss this geyser's show!
