Jackie Cooper is featured (briefly) in the new A&E special, "Look, Up In The Sky - The Amazing Story Of Superman". Cooper played the part of Daily Planet editor Perry White in the 1970s/80s Christopher Reeve "Superman" movies.
Cooper is on screen only for a moment or two. He looks pretty much the same as he did in "Candidate For Crime". Not bad, considering that he's about 84 years old! The "talking head" segment seems to be brand new. The special was made to coincide with the new movie.
Also not bad, considering that I recently ommitted him from "the living" in a post about wishing that Universal would invite "still living" guest-murderers to provide audio commentary for their episodes on DVD.
That's a great point...which of the original killers are still living? I think Dr. Fleming is (wasn't he at the end of Speilberg's "War of the Worlds"?), Honor Blackman, Clive Revill, that awesome lady from "Make Me a Perfect Murder" (perfect murderess but not a perfect episode)? I'm too lazy to look them all up on imdb...does anyone have a definite list they can copy and paste without typing it all up?

So that means 25 of 46 Columbo killers are still alive. The first to die incidentally, was Laurence Harvey, who died just eight months after he made his Columbo appearance in 1973.
