I was interested to find out what Columbo actors and actresses thought of being in the series, particularly those who played the murderers in the original series, .
Does anybody recall reading recollections/memories from those who starred in the series, either on the internet or in books?
The only two pieces I have seen have been rather negative. Nicol Williamson could recall very little from his role in "How To Dial a Murder" - it seems he needed the money as he was going through a divorce!
Robert Conrad hardly reflected on his role in "An Exercise in Fatality" with much enjoyment. He racalled that Peter Falk's precise style aggravated him, particularly when he had to do several re-takes of one scene which required him to drink carrot juice. It ended up making Conrad feel sick.
Can anybody else share anecdotes from the people who starred in the series?
In the "Articles" section of this site, uou will find "Faye Dunaway Recalls" -- about her experiences making "It's All In The Game", as well as the events leading up to it and following. It's an excerpt from her autobiography.
