Years and years ago I got interested in a late-night TV movie and saw the last half or so of it. Eventually (late 1990's) I found out it was called "House of Games."
Originally I liked it because Joe "Magtagna" (sorry about the spelling) was in it. But over the last several years, after becoming much more a fan of Columbo, I like seeing L. Crouse in another role besides her one in Columbo, even though, to be honest, the two parts are similar.
Luckily for me, I taped "House of Games" from our "movies on-demand" digital cable. Anyone who sees this post and hasn't seen the movie should spend a few bucks and rent it. (I assume it is available in video stores).

She plays a very similar character. The story is a good "con" a la "The sting".
