Came across this little bit of trivia quite by accident. I know this question has been covered before, but this time with little twist. What two Columbo stars, starred together both in a Columbo episode and a major motion picture film in the same year?
*Bonus Question. What other star was also in the film that was also in a Columbo episode, but a different one?
Due to the underwhelming interest I will now givet the answer.
In 1971 both Susan Clark and Richard Anderson, were both in Columbo's "Lady in Waiting" and in the film "Valdez is Coming" with Burt Lancaster. The bonus answer was Hector Elizondo who was also in "Valdez is Coming" and a later Columbo.
I thank all that participated in this quiz[Banghead, and will very shortly come up with another fascinating question

Abe, my post was made in jest . I just supplied the answer quickly, before the thread would have been buried with newer threads. I didn't want to leave anyone hanging.

Don't assume little interest, just no quick ability to come up with the right answer.
Many avenues for me led to dead ends for your particulars.
If the truth be know, I was watching the film "Valdez is Coming" and saw Susan Clark and John Anderson were in it, and thought ****, what a coincidence! I also thought how cool it would have been to have Burt Lancaster in a Columbo . He could have been the husband he played in "Come Back Little Sheba" He could have bumped off his wife "Hazel the Maid"

abe, i don't think mrs. peck is discouraged...he will remain undaunted!! he's a hard-core columbo freak!!! yay!!
i know what you mean...but i think they loved each other regardless...through all the garbage..there was definitely a love there.
(gee...we're getting deep here! )
On message boards, smiley icons are the most important tool! The biggest problem in communicating on message boards, the reader really don't know what the emotional motivation is behind a persons posting. Most times it is done with tongue in cheek, or like when a group of friends are sitting around with each other and bust on each other in with good nature. Many times this friendly "busting" gets misunderstood as being nasty and hateful...

fred, mrs. peck had me beat years ago with using smilies!!
i totally totally agree mrs. peck! there are certain boards i go on that have very limited or even no smilies..and it is very difficult to say something jokingly without possibly offending somebody.
oh...and by the way...what the heck was this thread about to begin with???
(but i secretly love it when a thread gets all off topic and crazy... )
OH WOW!!! me too mrs. peck!! it is absolutely amazing how people get so teed off at that!! the venom they spew is unbelievable!...all over something so meaningless. it's the internet! it's only a stupid message board! get over it!!
i visit other boards, and i am notorious for being 'a thread jacker'!! i think it's in my blood. at first, before they know me, they get on my case about it..but after they know me,they expect it!! and they just joke me about it.
Dirty Dozen is my absolute favorite Cassavetes performance. In my unofficial list of all time greatest acting performances it ranks in the top 5. I don't refer to cassa as "Franco" for nothing!
