You can still see him during the auction and on the airplane, but that's not what you meant ofcourse.
Columbo probably didn't find it urgent or important enough to speak him, since Stein and Falcon already gave him the information he needed. Not to forget; they provided him with the "steady hand" lead, which got the LT. on the move again.
Speaking of that episode...
According to the cast list there should be a drunk in this episode, played by Robert Donner.
I can't seem to spot him in the episode...
Then again, the episode guide states this episode lasts a 120 minutes, whereas the episode I've seen was 'just' 95 minutes long.
Could anyone clear that up for me !? Thanks in advance :)
hi mo
this is a scene where columbo is in a restaurant/bar and he is watching the tv, and donner is sitting next to him. donner keeps interrupting columbo as he is trying to watch the news report. and then columbo asks him if it rained last tuesday, and he doesn't remember.
He probably went over to do a part on the McCloud set in the same studio. He was an inconsequential character to the plot anyway, but Columbo does interview them all in the office later on.
And Robert Donner appears in a few Columbo epsiodes, but I'll always remember him best for his role on Mork and Mindy. Incidentally, he died last month.
