I love the scenes where (usually) murderer makes a fool out of Columbo, during the series of course.The best joke I remember is when Columbo is investigating about Santini's past in Europe and wants to know his surname.He says Washington and then Columbo asks for his first time when Santini's already walking away.Santini turns around and says slowly, but very ironical:"Martha".


I always laugh on that a lot.
Do you remember some similar funny scenes?

Mr. Rowe (Robert Culp) in College, when he said something along the lines of, "You're going noplace in this case due to incompetency. I'm not stating an opinion it's just that facts are facts."

Columbo saying that General Hollister is vain, and Suzanne Pleschette's character responds, "Lieutenant, some men do not want to look like an unmade bed."

Also Col. Rumford gesturing to Columbo's coat and saying, "Well, I guess you could call that a uniform."
