Candidate for Crime.

I rewtached this last night after not seeing it for years and I was pleasantly surrpised by it. I really liked the bit in the tailors and the great ending where Columbo has already removed the bullet from the wall.

ust wondered if anyone else wanted to share your views on this one, be appreciated

Re: Candidate for Crime.

Even if Columbo didn't remove the bullet from the wall, the firecracker would have left a lot of debris on the balcony, therefore giving more suspicion.

Re: Re: Candidate for Crime.

Jackie Cooper is wonderful. Rarely have I liked a cold blooded villain more. A man who can act with his face. From cringing at his campaign manager's bravado, to his look of total satisfaction when he removes this thorn from his side once and for all, to the moment when he all but faints when Columbo says "Your under arrest sir", a fine acting job.

Re: Candidate for Crime.

Someone told me that Jackie Cooper was one of the 'Little Rascals', is that true?

Re: Re: Candidate for Crime.

Here are a couple of sites concerning Coopers involvement with the Rascals. Most have pictures of him.

Re: Candidate for Crime.

Yup, true. I hope to find some of his little rascal films one day.

re:Candidate For Crime; It's one of my favorites, Jackie Cooper is right up there with my favorite Villians, Jack Cassidy and Robert Culp. I would have loved to see him in more episodes. It's also one the strongest scripts, very well done episode all around.
