Also, Cassavetes looks like a spasm with no sense of timing trying to portray a conductor. He was good in the role, but much too lame for one as a maestro.
Etude is still among my top 10, but I'd hardly classify its priciple as a "greatest villain" with the silly mistakes he made (I'd have considered the bird and would never have inserted the type-written page back into the machine), but what gets to me every time I hear it is that canned dog barking.
They employ the same annoying in-studio recording whenever it's called for, but the dog's movements are never consistent with the sound.
i agree fielding. in today's world of political correctness good ole chopin would not have met his untimely demise. what kills me is the fact that it's ok to show the murder of a person..but not an animal!
