It always rains in Southern California

Having lived there for over 10 years at one point, it always amazes me as to how many episodes feature rain, wet cars as if it had just rained, or rain was implied (Any old port for example).

LA has a rainy season from approx November to March and it really doesn't rain all that much even then, yet many many Columbos feature rain, drizzle and thunder (which in itself is quite rare in SoCal).

From April to October rain is as common as a smart detective not named Columbo.

You'd think this show was set in London or Seattle LOL
