Re: Troubled Waters fingerprint

i remember that post (but i don't remember who it was either)....that is interesting though. i would definitely think that given the consistency of a rubber glove, that it is very easy to lift a fingerprint off of them.

Here's a pasted copy

Re: Re: Re: Columbo: Troubled Waters

Hi all, I haven't posted a message on this site in over three years but it's a pleasure to revisit it.

Yes, I was also disillusioned about the final clue in "Troubled Waters." A few months ago someone broke into my car and left behind a pair of rubber gloves just like Danziger wore. While taking with the fingerprint lady, she said it would be next to impossible to lift a clean print from the gloves, and added that sometimes these detective shows make their jobs look easier than they seem (I'm sure she was referring to "CSI" rather than our show).

Cheers,
Sean

Several responses, including one by the BIG "E". There is no little E.

Shomrigs response above replied to E.

Re: Troubled Waters fingerprint

Thanks, Abe, for digging that post up. However, I think there may have been an even earlier post regarding this issue (that is probably lost now because the oldest posts are from April of '05) and it sounds like the July '05 post was a rehash. I remember saying that I had been "disillusioned" but I think I was at that time referring to when it first came up...sometime around late '04 to early '05???

Re: Re: Troubled Waters fingerprint

So, maybe Columbo was bluffing, and Danzinger implicated himself by admitting it was his "fingerprint" in the glove?
