I get that the city is in trouble financially but is raising parking rates all around NoHo the answer? We are an Arts district. Now, my 20 dollar show will cost me 23 dollars and I have to run to the meter 1/2 way through because the meter is only good for a maximum of two hours. If I want to have dinner on top of the show, now I'm paying another dollar.
Not a smart move on the city's part. If the city really wants to support the Arts then a free parking lot or parking structure is the answer.
This policy makes it simply impossible for a theatre patron, a restaurant-goer, or a shopper to come to NoHo. You will make more money ONLY in parking tickets.
And you will destroy businesses, arts, and public goodwill.
I don't believe that's what you intended. Am I wrong?
