Sandford, Crediton - men who fought in WW!

Dear Sue...The list of men from Sandford, Crediton who fought in the war is very helpful. It includes two ancestors of mine - Archie (Archibald) and Henry (Harry) Roberts, sons of Henry and Mary Ann (nee Kerslake). They had two other sons who were eligible to fight in the war (John and Walter). As well as including the names of Archie and Henry, did the parish registers provide any information about which regiments they joined, or service numbers? I have found a newspaper cutting for 1917 which mentions that Archie was a local preacher and supporter of the Band of Hope in Sandford. He was given a warm farewell, as he left to 'join the forces', by the congregation at his church. He was called up in May 1917, but I have been unable to establish which regiment he served in. I have found no references to Henry's war service. Paul
