My guys looked good today.Combined 16 innings 0 runs & a bunch of Ks.Hamels & Sanchez should be back next year.I'd like to keep 10 guys next year,is that a possibility?
Barry, I'm not really sure we need to speed it up after the way it went for the 2010 draft. :^)
It took us from Friday evening FEB 26th to Tuesday MAR 2. It was actually done in less than 100 hours. We had 27 man rosters with 6 keepers, 21 players being drafted by 12 teams totaling 252 players.
That comes to an average of about 2.5 players drafted each hour.
Also, the draft will be starting two, maybe three weeks later in March. The Keeper list will be due one week before the draft begins. This will give owners time enough to study who is available, and won't be too long of a wait until the draft begins. We had a two week gap this last draft and it did seem a little long.
Jimi ... I don't say we needed to speed it up. I said another 4 rounds less of drafting would speed it up. I was very happy with the speed of the draft last year. The gang did a great job at keeping it moving.
