Whining that Yanks should renegotiate because club options are ONLY $14M and $15M the next 2 years. If a player has a player option that is way too high based on performance, how come the team is never allowed to cry we need to renegotiate?
(Of course, what is another $5M a year to the Yankees?)
I have only seen Cano in a positive way. He seems to always be smiling and enjoying himself while out on the field.
But, he did just switch agents and when he went with Boras he must of known this sorta thing was going to come up. Boras does not make any commission from Cano until he negotiates a new contract, as it is now that won't happen for 2 more seasons.
So Boras will definitely be trying to re-negotiate Cano's contract this winter.
