I saw Byron Buxton and Miguel Sano play for the first time last night. Buxton is a scrawny guy at 6-2 and 190. His strength seems to be his bat control and speed sort of like Dee Gordon. Sano is HUGE at 6-4 and 260. His strength is his power. And Sano is not the biggest player on the Lookouts (AA). Mike Gonzales at first base is 6-6 and 264. Sano batted third and Gonzales cleanup. Many of the Lookouts were on the Fort Myers team that won the Florida State League Championship in 2014 (A). This is going to be fun to watch.
And Kennys Vargas is listed at 6' 5" 285 lbs. Can you imagine a lineup with three guys in the middle that are over 260 lbs? That's just crazy and I hope this isn't the future of baseball. I've always told my son that one of the great things about baseball is it doesn't matter how big you are.
