I just saw what Astro pay Altuve. Through 2017 in his six years he has earned $12.7 Million. That is total not per year! In 2018 he gets $6M and if his 2019 option is picked up, he gets another $6.5 million. I wonder how hard a decision that will be.

That is 8 years of Altuve for the cost of 1 year of Tanaka or CC Sabathia.

Yep, he probably had the most team-friendly contract in MLB and that was BEFORE he won the MVP.
