A few thoughts ... now that his list of 7 teams in the running is out (Sea, SF, SD, LAD, LAA, ChC, Tex) it seems to me this is Seattle's to lose. They are on West Coast, have DH to offer, have had lots of players from Japan, at one point were owned by a Japanese firm (not sure if they still are) and could "win now."


I understand Ohtani grew up a big fan of Darvish. It will be interesting to see if a team makes a play for Darvish to get a leg up on Ohtani.

After MLB going gaga over Ohtani it will be funny if he is not a star. Players from other countries have been hit or miss in the past regardless of the level of success they had in their country.
