NYY gets $30 if Stanton opts out after 3 years. Wonder how that works as far as the luxury tax. Does it adjust his cost in 1st 3 years or does it give them a minus $30M in year 4?

The $27 million that the Yanks paid Alex Rodriguez for doing studio analysis is coming off the books this year. Also, Sabathia ($20 million), Castro ($9 million), Holliday $13 (million), Todd Frazier ($5 million), Jaime Garcia ($5 million) and Pineda ($7.5 million) no longer on the payroll. The Yanks can still get under the luxury tax threshold.
