I see Betts and Springer may go to Arb Trials. Both are in 1st year of Arb.
Betts asked $10.5M and was offered $7.5M
Springer asked $10.5M and was offered 8.5M.
IMO looking at age, career games played and results Betts seems to be the better player and although he had a slightly down year in 2017 he has a good case for a very unlucky BABIP. If Astros offer for Springer makes any sense I don't see how BoSox can defend offering Betts a million less.
