Hello, I am writing to ask if pnd can start a while after the birth or is it something else i am feeling? I was diagnosed nearly a year after the birth of my daughter and so was eager to spot any early signs when I had my 2nd child, a little boy. He has been brilliant, a good sleeper and a joy to look after. He is now nearly 16months old and I can feel the same feelings coming back as after I had my daughter..I don't have a health visitor to talk to and my husband does'nt know what to say or do. I am worried my doctor will just label me as I had it before...could this be something else?

I wasn't diagnosed until last month when my daughter was 14 months old...I had been feeling like I was drowning for about 6 months but I was too scared to say anything...I have heard that PND can arise late though.
