Haakapainizi
In the legends of the Kawaiisu peoples of the Great Basin in North America. Haakapainizi was a giant grasshopper who hunted for children and carried them away in a great basket. It was finally overcome by a mouse who tricked it into swallowing a red-hot coal which turned it into stone from within.
