From A-Z, magical creatures abound. This forum might be a great place to learn about them. I thought I'd summarize one daily from 'The Element Encyclopedia of Magical Creatures' (feel free to join in or comment).

Kadimakara
A race of monsters in the traditions and beliefs of the people of Central Australia. At one time these creatures lived in the sky, then fell to Earth and lived there for a long time until the sun burned them up, leaving only their bones behind. The Aborigines call them Kadimakara, but people now refer to them as dinosaurs.
