Experimenting with goth hair falls

I want to know if I'm doing it right or wrong...I know I probably need to get that one annoying blonde lock out of the way. I saw a tutorial on Youtube and copied it the best I could. It's kind of sloppy here because I'm holding everything in loosely but I still think it looks pretty good. My ex boyfriend said it doesn't look good at all, but I think he's just mad because I won't approve his friend request.
