Away From The Numbers
All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.
The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.
This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

A primary teacher starts a new job at a school in Kirkcaldy's West End Primary and, trying to make a good impression on her first day, explains to her
class that she is a Raith Rovers fan. She asks her students to raise their hands if they, too, are Raith fans. Everyone in the class raises their hand except one little girl.
The teacher looks at the girl with surprise and says:
"Mary, why didn't you raise your hand ? "
Because I'm not a Raith fan," she replied.
The teacher, still shocked, asks: "Well, if you're not a Raith fan, then who are you a fan of ?"
"I'm a East Fife fan, and proud of it," Mary replied.
The teacher could not believe her ears. "Mary, why are you an East Fife fan ?"
"Because my mum and dad are from Methil, and my mum is a East Fife fan and my dad is a East Fife fan, so I'm a EAst Fife fan too!"
"Well," said the teacher, in an annoyed tone, "that's no reason for you to be a East Fife fan. You don't have to be just like your parents all of
the time. What if your mum was a prostitute and your dad was a drug addict and car thief, what would you be then?"
Mary smiled, "Then I'd be a Raith fan."
